TRANSCENDING HORIZONS

Collaborative Studio with NASA

Teleworks Team: Atulya Chaganty, Adi Azulay, JN Dackiw, Aaron Zhang

For this project we were tasked with building a modular unit for the Crew Augmentation Module, a space station on Mars. We designed and developed a Teleworks unit that is the control center for the CAM's robots, rovers, repair functions, and communication both to and from HQ on Earth to the satellite station on Mars. Using a projected image onto a curved display to create an immersive experience, we optimized our space while integrating an ergonomic seat, controls, and viewing experience. The model is currently being used in Houston, Texas at the NASA training facility to train astronauts.
